Why read the book?
The Holy Bible is the word of God given to men over many centuries. It holds the Old Testament with stories from creation, the laws given to Moses, the poems of David, and the words of prophets who spoke for God.
The New Testament tells of Jesus Christ’s birth, life, teachings, death on the cross, and rising from the dead. It also has letters from apostles to early churches and the book of Revelation that speaks of the end times and God’s final victory.
Many read the King James Version for its beautiful language, but the message stays the same across versions: God loves mankind and offers salvation through faith in Jesus.

Christians turn to it for guidance in life, comfort in pain, strength in trials, and hope for eternity. It shows God’s plan from the beginning to the end.
Favourite quote
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
- John 3:16
What I Loved
The Holy Bible speaks with power that changes lives. Its stories teach deep truths. In Genesis, God creates the world and man falls into sin, but He promises a saviour. The exodus from Egypt shows God’s might and care for His people.
David’s psalms express joy, sorrow, and trust in God. The prophets call people back to righteousness and foretell the coming Messiah.
In the Gospels, Jesus heals the sick, forgives sinners, and teaches love for God and neighbour. His death pays for sin, and His resurrection gives hope of new life. The letters explain how to live as followers of Christ, with grace, humility, and service. Revelation promises God’s kingdom will come fully, with no more tears or death.
The Bible meets every need: wisdom for choices, peace in storms, correction for wrongs, and joy in praise. It reveals God’s character as holy, just, and full of mercy. Reading it daily builds faith and shapes character. Its words endure because they come from God Himself.
Key Takeaway
God offers salvation through Jesus Christ, and His word guides believers to live with purpose, hope, and love until eternity.
