Hello, reader 👋 You’re probably here because you noticed that my detailed threads providing instructions for genetic engineering have been deleted and now you’re wondering why. Let’s dive right in! **

The reason why I deleted thise threads is because I’m a citizen of the EU. I couldn’t find any specific laws regarding gene editing instructions, but doing what I described in those threads (even if I changed it slightly to make the instructions wrong), would likely be illegal. **

Let’s talk about the instructions themselves. I did my best to make them completely correct. Not "plausible", correct. Something you could do in a lab. Specific sequences.

In both guides, I made sure there were critical gaps so that they couldn’t actually be used. **

Each set of instructions was expensive and difficult, so it was impossible for a noob to do them. But what if a real biologist tried to do them? **

In the HTGYVOG guide, the biobag and fetus creation itself is the bottleneck. Right after the blastoids, I started generalizing. The girlfriend guide would never get to the point where it could grow a human being. But the technical data was so realistic it included real risks. **

For example, in the girlfriend guide, the kind of person to "grow" themselves a girlfriend wouldn’t want to spend years raising her. I "solved" this by artificially inducing progeria, a genetic condition that makes children age rapidly. **

This wouldn’t result in a mature woman, I used it as black comedy.

The information on doing this is available online to anyone who can tweak treatment methods. But I recklessly lowered the technical skill needed to do it for anyone with a lab by making correct instructions. **

I don’t believe what I did was illegal in any way, but it was unethical and I don’t want to risk any legal issues. I had a lot of bad experiences with police officers, federal agents and the government throughout my life. Somewhat traumatic, even. I don’t want to invite problems. **

In the appendix guide, I provided instructions for making a tumor-like creature that grew uncontrollably. It had a lot of intentional flaws as well, such as me not differentiating between microscopic and macroscopic on a critical step, but it still could have resulted in disease. **

I don’t want to be responsible for death or disease, even if I consider the chances of that happening to be nearly zero. Due to the excessive realism and effort, even though the whole guides were, as a whole, body horror pieces of satire, parts of them were potentially dangerous. **

I still might post more about biohacking, just with the realism toned down from dangerous legal grey area to safe. Once again: if you’ve read or saved those guides, do NOT use them! They are not effective enough to be weaponized nor result in anything useful. Evil for evil’s sake **
