I thought native Stacks would solve my organization problem, but trying to use them in practice is cumbersome and glitchy. If you open a stack with more than a handful of files, your screen just turns into a gigantic mess and your GPU stutters. So I created PopStack. Simply click a Desktop folder and PopStack opens a fast popover so you can peak & access the contents right there (icon grid or list view), without opening Finder windows all over your screen. - Optional Auto‑Sort: If you want, PopStack can sort Desktop files via configurable rules into folders (a native Stacks-style alternative, but more customizable). - Smart Icons (optional): PopStack can automatically generate …
