It took Chanel 323 hours, for instance, to create Selena Gomezâs black velvet bustier dress, which featured over 200 flowers made from feathers, organza, and silk chiffon. It also took Versace 400 hours to create the white strapless gown worn by Amanda Seyfried, complete with a dramatic stole. The night was all about championing slow fashionâand highlighting garments that required plenty of work (much like the acting performances being celebrated).
There were some unexpected fashion wins tonight, too, like Sinners star Wunmi Mosaku: The star surprise-announced her second pregnancy, in a striking yellow gown by Matthew Reisman. Marty Supreme star Odessa AâZion went the archival route, slipping into a vintage black feathered Dolce & Gabbana coatâchanneling a bit of Old Hollywood drama.
As for some of the best dressed gentleman of the evening? Simply nobody could take their eyes off the two Heated Rivalry stars, and it was Hudson Williams who shined in his white Giorgio Armani tuxedo and cummerbund. Many of the dapper gents also embraced timeless suiting that were punctuated with eye-catching broochesâincluding Michael B. Jordan (in Prada) and Jeremy Allen White (in Louis Vuitton), among others.
