After a break for an extended weekend, i have managed to scrounge enough time from the preparations to update a font for Day 23, which will be the final day of Advent of Type this year.
23. Typewriter B. Typewriter B has been one of my more succesful fonts this year, so i decided to further refresh it with a good set of planets and planetoids. I’ve drawn Sun, all the classical planets, Uranus, Neptune, and the first 4 asteroids, Ceres, Pallas, Juno, Vesta. I’ve also rounded out the usual punctuation by finishing the « and », and the #hashtag sign.

16. Tracks - a 3-line striped font that makes tracks.
15. Hermes Ring - Replacing the serifs of Courier Prime with rings.
12. Agon - a cryptic font made from a hexagon shape.
11. "Bob" Matrix Mono - The face of J. R. "Bob" Dobbs is lifted out of the Atari ST ROM font and replicated as a dot (or pixel) in a font that emulates the output of the Epson FX-80 9-pin dot matrix printer. Slack!
10. 10PRINT - The Commodore 64 font rendered by replacing pixels with a random selection of the 2 diagonal line characters used in the construction of the 10PRINT maze.
9. Peter - Previously known as PJW, but not really officially released; Peter uses Peter J. Weinberger’s face as the pixel in Pellucida from Plan 9. Enjoy your monospaced pixel font with a 1990s vibe.
8. Asmol - a font created on a strict 10 point grid; the sometimes slightly weird shapes are because there are not many choices for the node placement!
5. Andily - a digitisation of Lydian (Chappell) from the awful scan that the US Patent Office has. A to Z only with basic punctuation.
4. Dorothy Norma small-caps - a completely new set of small-caps for Dorothy Norma, a dot matrix version of German technical drawing lettering.
3. Aromech - A hand-drawn font of Roman Rustic Capitals.
2. GoGoGo - A hype-cycle numbers-only font.
1. Snowmouse - a copy of Papirtis Pink Mouse with added snow.
Advent of Type 2025 is a an hoc production from CubicType.
