OnLogic has expanded its portfolio of industrial computing hardware with the introduction of the CL260, a compact, fanless system designed as an edge gateway for large industrial deployments. Positioned as the newest member of the CL200 Series, the CL260 targets applications where space constraints, long-term reliability, and cost control are as crucial as baseline computing performance.

The CL260 runs on Intel’s N-Series processors, with options built around the Intel N150 and N250. Paired with 8 GB of LPDDR5 memory, the system is set up to handle everyday edge tasks without unnecessary complexity. It is not meant to replace a high-end server or workstation. Still, it has more than enough capability for functions such as collecting data from equipment, translating industrial protocols, running on-site light analytics, and managing connected devices.

This approach fits well with how the CL260 is expected to be used in the field. The system is aimed at roles such as remote data logging, monitoring industrial processes, and managing digital signage, where devices are often rolled out in large numbers and expected to run reliably with little attention. By focusing on a small footprint, fanless operation, and a practical mix of I/O, the CL260 is built to do its job quietly as a go-between, pulling in data from machines and sensors, processing it locally, and sending only what is needed back to central systems.

At the edge, the CL260 is built to handle everyday control and data-collection tasks while staying out of the way. Its compact size, 115 x 30 x 82 millimeters, allows it to fit easily inside control cabinets and other tight spaces. Mounting options for both DIN rail and VESA setups make installation straightforward, especially in distributed deployments where many systems need to be installed quickly and consistently.

Dual Gigabit Ethernet ports make it easier to separate machine networks from upstream or business systems. A mix of USB 3.2 Type-A and USB Type-C ports provides flexibility for peripherals and displays. Display output uses USB-C and supports up to two screens, making it great for simple visual interfaces such as status dashboards or signage displays.

For industrial communication, the CL260 includes a serial port that supports RS-232, RS-422, and RS-485 protocols via a terminal block. This allows the system to interface directly with legacy equipment, sensors, and controllers that are still common in industrial environments. Power input is via a 3-pin terminal block that accepts a wide 12 to 24 VDC input range, simplifying integration with industrial power systems.

Wireless connectivity can be added via an internal M.2 2230 E-key expansion slot that supports Wi-Fi modules. Storage is handled through a separate M.2 2280 slot. Together, these expansion options allow the CL260 to be configured with additional connectivity and storage while maintaining its compact, fixed enclosure.
