A full Proxmox cluster rebuild from scratch takes somewhere between a weekend and a week, depending on how much of your config lives in Git versus your head. The VMs and LXCs themselves, the ones with actual state in them, those are the things you can't reconstruct from memory. Proxmox Backup Server (PBS) exists specifically for this problem: deduplicated, incremental backups of your entire virtualization layer, with verification built in. If you're running a multi-node Proxmox cluster and yo... Read more ›

The unique appearance of pixel art brings many adults back to the “golden age” of arcade games, when games like Frogger, Space Invaders, and Pac-Man dominated the arcade screens. Today, video game developers have advanced far beyond the need for low-resolution graphics, but pixel art remains a vibrant, nostalgic medium for many artists. Many […] Read more ›

A friend of mine made a cool calculator and unit converter. It parses natural English phrases like “how many inches are in 3 feet?” and “300 miles / 65 mph in hours and minutes” and “download 10GB 1Gbps”. You can access it from web (including PWA), CLI or as a library. It has a strong FOSS philosophy behind it. Read more ›

I’ve been racking my brain the whole afternoon trying to figure out why when I try to access my Pihole over Web GUI suddenly I’m met with SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER error. My setup: - Nginx (SWAG) runs on my server and routes all apps on the server, plus two separate devices (Unifi and Pihole) - Pihole runs on a Raspi with a fixed IP - Nginx conf points to Pihole’s IP on port 80 over http protocol. This worked perfectly fine until several days ago (well, that’s when I noticed the issue). Now wh... Read more ›

DevOps has always evolved with technology. Cloud changed how teams manage infrastructure. Containers changed how applications are deployed. CI/CD changed how software is released. Observability changed how teams monitor systems. Now AI is starting to change DevOps again. The next stage of DevOps is not only automation. It is intelligence. *DevOps Was Built on Automation * Automation is one of the strongest foundations of DevOps. DevOps teams automate: • Builds • Tests • Deployments • Infrastr... Read more ›

A few months ago, a client asked me to rank on 150+ local search queries across 5 cities — with a budget that wouldn't cover a single traditional agency retainer. Instead of writing 150 articles manually, I built a pipeline. Here's exactly how it works. The problem with traditional SEO at scale Creating geo-targeted content manually is slow, expensive, and inconsistent. You need a writer who understands SEO structure, knows the local context, and can maintain quality across hundreds of pages.... Read more ›

submitted by Hey, folks. The Jellyfin and Komga media servers running on my NAS are going great locally. I invested in a firewall and some managed switches, and from preliminary VLAN tests, I’m confident that I’ve got what I need to section off the self hosted services from my primary network. I was hoping to get a recommendation for the next couple of steps. I’ve got a mini PC running Bazzite that had been a portable console/fighting game setup that I’m ready to retire from that role so that... Read more ›
