Antarctica recorded unusual winter warmth in early June, with temperatures reaching 36 degrees Fahrenheit above average in some places. Researchers on the Trinity Peninsula logged 15.4 degrees Celsius, or 59.72 degrees Fahrenheit, on June 6.
