Kubernetes 1.35, “World Tree,” is a release about the things that hold everything else up. Like any system that’s grown over time, Kubernetes now supports many different workloads, environments, and upgrade paths. What keeps all of that working isn’t flashy new features, but strong roots. Many of the changes in 1.35 focus on reinforcing those roots.

Nodes have now been made more explicit about what they can support. Security boundaries around impersonation and access have been tightened. Long standing dependencies on legacy infrastructure are finally being trimmed away. These updates won’t radically change how you use Kubernetes, but they will make the platform sturdier as it continues to grow.
