Another year has arrived, and that means another year of free-to-play Xbox games is upon us! We’re expecting to learn of many new titles over the coming months, and we already know of a few that are planned for 2026.
We recently mentioned two of January 2026’s free-to-play titles in 2XKO and Highguard, but don’t forget about other major launches such as Once Human and Path of Exile 2 — the latter going free-to-play when it leaves early access.
Let’s take a look at those eight upcoming free-to-play Xbox games for 2026:
2XKO (January 20)
"2XKO is a free-to-play fighting game with explosive 2v2 gameplay and fast, intuitive controls. Play solo to control both champions on your team, or grab a friend to duo with. Explore a roster of iconic champions from League of Legends and Arcane, each with fresh movesets inspired by the MOBA and reimagined for fighting games."
Highguard (January 26)
"From the creators of Apex Legends and Titanfall, comes Highguard: a PvP raid shooter where players will ride, fight, and raid as Wardens, arcane gunslingers sent to fight for control of a mythical continent. Aniimo (TBD 2026)

Fate Trigger (TBD 2026)

Goals (TBD 2026)

Once Human (TBD 2026)

Path of Exile 2 (TBD 2026)

World of Tanks: HEAT (TBD 2026)
