Slow-motion screen savers can turn your MacBook display into a work of art, both when you’re away from your Mac and as your wallpaper. Here’s how to set ‘em up:
- Open System Settings from the Apple menu.
- Click on Wallpaper in the sidebar (you may need to scroll down).
- Click on Screen Saver.
- Select Custom and choose a screen saver from the slow-motion categories:
- macOS: A collection of slow-motion images.
- Landscape, Cityscape, Underwater, and Earth aerials: Slow-motion images of dramatic views.
- Shuffle Aerials: Slow-motion aerials that change at a set interval.
- Click the Options button that appears to customize settings like how often the aerials shuffle or other parameters specific to the screen saver you selected.
- Adjust the time for the screen saver to start using the slider in the Lock Screen settings (accessible by going to System Settings > Lock Screen).
