I’ve decided that I want to move back to a web editor for my blog. Rather than using a ready-made engine, I extended my current homepage to handle a blog as well. I’ve been writing on it for a couple of weeks, so you can pop over and see what’s happening there if you’re curious. It’s been a project and I’ve actually learned a lot, especially in the process of rolling all of these old posts into a database. The file import script I wrote took a lot of my time, but I’m happy with how well it got the job done. I’m not ready to switch yet - I need to do some work to make sure links and images don’t break, but I’m hoping it’ll be soon.
