I think a lot of this comes down to:

• How much info (standards/specs/protocol details) gets sent back with the raspberry pi
• Do we get to make a few tweaks to the raspberry pi before sending it back in time?

IMO: with no prep/additional info it would take a long time to reverse, high damage risk
