Why do people feel the need to post spoilers and clues about daily puzzle games?
What do they hope to achieve? All it does is ruin someone else’s fun as they now have more information than is required to complete the game.

I see it for so many online puzzle games, but let’s just take Wordle as an example. It’s very popular, and I have been enjoying it almost since day one. Long before Josh Wardle, creator, sold out to the New York Times.
Every day people post their results on social media. I enjoy that as I see how others have done in comparison to me. What I do not enjoy is when they also include a hint at a solution. WTAF?!
Good job. You’ve completed it. Well done. Pat on the back. But don’t ruin it for others. It’s not big, it’s not clever, and it’s mean.
Imagine if I’m telling you about a great book I’ve read. You’re looking forward to reading it to. I then say, "you will love it, and it was so unusual to have the doctor involved in the crime".
If people really need a hint they can go looking on the internet. Don’t put it in my face on socials. The NYT even provide a hint within the game
My solution is basically to stop following the person. If I don’t follow them but I’ve seen their post, perhaps via a share, I block them.
