I’ve always thought that the editing tools were the most important part of Google Photos. They were not difficult. Have a crooked photo? It’s called “conversational editing.” The actual tool in Google Photos is called “Help Me Edit.” And, it is a game-changer. I’ve always thought that the editing tools were the most important part of Google Photos. They were not difficult. Have a crooked photo? Just click the edit button, then the crop tool, then drag the slider to rotate the photo till it’s straight. I thought it was quite easy. But, it’s not as easy as just typing “straighten this photo.” And, the really special part is that it can work magic! Notice this crooked photo of 4 people at dinner. When straightening with the normal crop tool, the 2 people on the edges get cropped out.

But, with “Help Me Edit” you can type “straighten this photo while keeping all faces in the frame.”

Whatever you can think up about how you want a photo improved – just type the request into the “Help me Edit” box and watch the magic. Here’s a video with a couple more examples: remove reflections, and remove shadows.
If you don’t have the feature yet – sit tight, it’s brand new and it is just “rolling out.” It will be coming your way soon. Be sure to keep your Google Photos app up to date. Oh, and this is only available on the mobile app, it’s not possible to do this on the computer/web version of Google Photos.
