My husband’s finally home, and life is slowly settling back into its usual routine. I did all the laundry, ironed my work clothes, he took care of the cats, and we went grocery shopping yesterday. Life’s good! It’s funny that when my husband’s home, I often feel like I don’t have time for myself, yet when he’s away for too long, I get irritated and lose motivation to do anything for myself. Lol. That’s marriage for you.

Also, I’ve got my work desk back. Back in the pandemic era, I bought this desk in a rush because my terrible sitting posture gave me chronic pain and sciatica. Budget was tight, so it wasn’t exactly my dream desk. Honestly, I never liked the design. But after adding a desk mat, it looks much better, so I’m planning to use it for my “home admin” work (bills and blogs, heh). A decorating post soon? Maybe!

I also started sharing stories in my instagram again. This time, I’m taking a more mundane approach, doing only daily collages every day.

So, why Instagram, after all my fuss about quitting social media? Turns out, all I needed was clear intention. I genuinely love Instagram carousels and browsing content creators for inspiration. But I used to get distracted by friends’ posts and random memes. So now, I’m curating my feed and setting one focus: I go on Instagram to create. Creating with intention is still kind of hard for me, though, because I need more effort than my usual thoughtless content.

Along with that, I made a Twitter/X account (again) for this blog. I’m not sure what to do with it yet; I just follow moodboard accounts mindlessly. What I do enjoy, though, is the sense of community. Finding people who love the same things I do, and who share that joy of pretty pictures, daily, mundane activities, and planning an elaborate home-chore day for fun. I go for the vibes, not creating or interacting there.

I’ve found a bit of that spirit on Substack, where people share moodboards alongside their own self-care rituals, each with their own charm. It’s still hard to find that kind of crowd in Indonesia, though. Most people here still stick to Instagram or YouTube. Go write long-form content, people. 😝

Vivienne Westwood X Nana collaboration is happening! Finally. After years of waiting for new content, at least we’re getting this dream collaboration. No details yet about the actual product lineup, but there will be a special Nana reissue with a collaborative cover and new art. I’ll stay skeptical for now, though.

I switched my feed reader to an open-source one, so… goodbye Feedly, hello NetNewsWire. Exporting feeds was super easy, and now I’ve got a native app on both my phone and laptop. The only downside is that it’s sometimes sluggish, but that’s fine. I don’t have to read every single update the moment it’s released, right? I also cleaned up my bloated feed list, so now it’s much leaner and more enjoyable.

My Kindle is back to normal! Earlier this week it suddenly stopped charging and I panicked a bit; there’s no Kindle repair service here and I wasn’t ready to buy a new one yet. I ended up buying a new charging adapter, and now the battery’s full again. Turns out I just needed to change the cable. Now I can charge it with a type-C cable, the one I always carry around, and it works with both my phone and laptop adapters. A total win-win.

So yes, my Kindle’s alive, my desk’s functional, and life’s running on coffee and little wins again. I’ll take that as a good sign for the week ahead. Amen.
