In the fantasy world of Onda, there are many who travel, for many reasons. Through their travels they may meet others who wander, and this is how stories are born.
Today’s Notes:
The cards came in today, so I’m setting up a template for keeping track of each player’s progress, along with a tag for related posts and updates. I’ll make a new post whenever something happens. The cards came in today, so I’m setting up a template for keeping track of each player’s progress, along with a tag for related posts and updates. I’ll make a new post whenever something happens. I’m keeping things very loose, just cause that’s usually my style, and cause I want to give the players the room to make their own decisions and make the characters their own!
Each character, other than Ond, is gonna start in a minor city in the heart of their area. The areas, much like many other things for this game, are just going to be picked out from magic the gathering. I wont take anything wholecloth, but it’ll be a good source of inspiration. So there will essentially be 5 major regions; the Plains, Islands, Swamps, Mountains, and Forests. No map or anything cause this is meant to be as light as possible, obviously can’t have everyone keep track of a world map at work.
Stuff like the ‘Packs’ are just general ideas of what you’d have in that pack, like the travel pack probably has a bedroll and a canteen and rations ect., while the chef pack probably has cookware and spices and such. Keeping gold also very general, just keeping it to ranks of small, medium, and large. Same deal with health, keeping it to ranks of Poor, Okay, and Good.
I have a few idea’s for tying players together even despite distance, such as the Monk’s Magic being Connected to Ond, and rolling a die to determine if the Veteran’s child is the Beggar, Debtor, or the Bandit. Also plan on allowing the Veteran’s Magic companion to be able to carry 3 word messages and small items back and forth near instantly. Again, keeping things mostly loose.
