Hey friends — quick bit about social media. It seems like it has been around forever, and honestly? I’ve never been into it. No Facebook, no Instagram, no TikTok, no Snapchat. Never had accounts on any of them.
The closest I ever got was Twitter. I used it on and off to keep up with the news, but once the shitposter bought it, I said fuck this and deleted it for good.
I was on Mastodon for a while, and it’s fine, but here’s the truth: everyone I followed there also has a blog with an RSS feed I already subscribe to. Most of what I saw on Mastodon was stuff I’d already read anyway.
