The Apapa Command of the Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, has intercepted 25.5 kilograms of cocaine concealed aboard a Brazilian vessel, MV San Anthonio.

According to a statement issued by the command’s Public Relations Officer, Chief Superintendent of Customs Suleiman Isah, the narcotics were recovered during an intelligence-driven inspection of the ship.

The drugs, compressed into 24 parcels and hidden in five bags, were discovered shortly after the vessel berthed in Lagos, prompting its immediate detention.
