US President Donald Trump is to announce a $12-billion agricultural package on Monday as a reflection of his engagement for farmers, a White House spokeswoman said on Monday. Most of the money, $11 billion, would go to maize, soya, wheat, rice and cotton farmers, who suffered under the previous Biden administration from high costs and its advocacy of diversity, equality and inclusion programmes, she said.
