$RALPH
The memecoin celebrating the AI technique that’s shipping code while you sleep
"How it started: Swarms, multi-agent orchestrators, complex frameworks. How it’s going: Ralph Wiggum."
- Matt Pocock, January 2026
What is $RALPH?
$RALPH is the community token celebrating the Ralph Wiggum Technique - the revolutionary AI development methodology that went viral in late 2025 and became the biggest name in AI by January 2026.
Named after Springfield’s most lovably oblivious character who declares "I’m helping!" while having no idea what’s going on, the technique embodies a profound truth: simple persistence beats complex architecture.

While the AI industry was building elaborate multi-agent swarms and complex orchestration frameworks, developer Geoffrey Huntley discovered something almost embarrassingly simple: a bash loop that keeps Claude running until the job is done—reducing the cost of software development to less than a fast food worker’s wage.
"Dumb things can work surprisingly well, so what could we expect from a smart version?"
- The Philosophy of Ralph
The Ralph Wiggum Technique
"Better to fail predictably than succeed unpredictably."
while :; do cat PROMPT.md | claude ; done
That’s it. That’s the technique. A while loop that feeds the same prompt to Claude over and over until the task is done. It’s persistence plus self-correction.
🔄
Iterate, Don’t Perfect
The Ralph approach inverts traditional AI workflows. Instead of crafting the perfect prompt, you optimize for iteration and let the AI self-correct through repetition.
📋
Declarative Specs
Write clear completion criteria, not clever prompts. Tell Claude what "done" looks like and let Ralph keep pushing until it gets there.
🌙
Night Shifts
Transform AI from a pair programmer into a relentless worker. Start Ralph before bed, wake up to completed features and passing tests.
🎯
Brute Force Brilliance
Ralph relies on brute force, failure, and repetition as much as raw intelligence. Sometimes the simplest solution is just... trying again.
The Real Ralph Technique
Don’t be fooled by imitations. The real Ralph technique is an orchestrator pattern that deterministically mallocs the context window, assigns a single goal, and avoids context rot and compaction. Anthropic’s plugin? It ain’t it. If you want results that actually slap, you gotta go to the source.
The History of Ralph
"It all started with a bash loop..."

The Vision
A Christmas conversation. Geoffrey and a friend discuss that viral video of Facebook product managers in the pool. People were mad—but not at the PMs. They were mad they can’t work that way too. The freedom to choose. "How could AI help us all live how we’d like to live?" Start your day, review a handful of things on your phone, and have the toil work done. The tech is being built. It just needs to be assembled correctly.

The Wake-Up Call
Geoffrey Huntley drops two bombs. First, the z80 technique—a playbook for automatically cloning SaaS products. Then NGMI—a stark warning that developers using AI are hitting 16x output while everyone else falls behind. The message is blunt: adapt or watch your career evaporate. The window is shrinking. High-agency individuals have never had a better opportunity.

Giving Juniors an Edge
While sitting on the Ralph research, Geoffrey focuses on helping the next generation. He publishes guidance for junior developers navigating the AI shift—"Are Junior Developers Screwed?" gets syndicated by ThePrimeagen. The thesis: you’re not screwed if you’re high-agency and take action. Curious juniors who lean in now will leapfrog seniors stuck in denial.

The Conference Circuit
Geoffrey hits the road. Keynotes and locknotes across Australia, Singapore, and Jakarta—warning anyone who’ll listen about what’s coming. "The future belongs to people who can just do things." He publishes "Deliberate Intentional Practice" and "LLMs are Mirrors." Then presents Ralph at a Twitter meetup—"dimensions of art, deep engineering, the embrace of chaos, and the raw authentic joy of making a thing." ~15 attendees have a long, unsettling conversation about the future.

Ralph Goes Public
Geoffrey publishes the Ralph technique. The idea is almost disappointingly simple—an orchestrator pattern, a bash loop, deterministic context management. But it works. Oh boy, does it work.

Build Your Own Cursor
Geoffrey drops a free workshop teaching AI from first principles. How to build a coding agent in ~300 lines. Five primitives: read, list, bash, edit, search. Claude as "a small-brained mechanical squirrel" trained to chase tool calls. Stop being an AI consumer—become a producer. "Your coworkers are going to take your job, not AI."
June–Sept 2025
Cursed Lang is Born
Geoffrey livestreams for three months straight—Claude in a loop with one prompt: make a programming language where all keywords are Gen Z slang. The result? Cursed—a working compiler with LLVM, binaries for Mac/Linux/Windows, and editor extensions. slay for functions, sus for variables, yeet for imports. No cap, fr fr.

Word Spreads
Podcast appearances and presentations carry the message. The developer community starts to realize that elaborate agent architectures might be massive cope. Sometimes the answer really is just a bash loop.

Anthropic Enters the Chat
Boris Cherny, Anthropic’s Head of Claude Code, formalizes a version into the official ralph-wiggum plugin. YouTube coverage proliferates. Ralph goes viral. (But remember: the plugin ain’t the real thing.)

What $RALPH Aspires To Do
"Me fail English? That’s unpossible!"
01
Celebrate Simplicity
In a world of over-engineered solutions, $RALPH stands for the elegant power of simple, persistent approaches. Sometimes a bash loop beats a thousand-line framework.
02
Unite AI Builders
Build the most welcoming community at the intersection of AI development and crypto. A place where developers share their Ralph experiments and overnight automation wins.
03
Fund Open Research
Directly fund Geoffrey Huntley’s continued open research into evolutionary software—driving LLMs in unhinged ways to get unhinged outcomes. The weirder, the better.
