Diagnosing the Damage

Neil carefully removes the broken socket, using flux and low-melt solder to protect the board. He applies a desoldering gun and heat gun to free the part, but the first power-on brings only a blank screen. Out comes the oscilloscope for checks. Both the clock and reset signals are present, yet the Amiga refuses to boot.
