In any fair and rational system, there would be progressive taxation, that made it impossible for anyone to accumulate that sort of wealth. By progressive taxation, I mean wealth taxation, that increases proportional to the wealth being accumulated. So a moderate wealth tax on millions.

In any fair and rational system, there would be progressive taxation, that made it impossible for anyone to accumulate that sort of wealth. By progressive taxation, I mean wealth taxation, that increases proportional to the wealth being accumulated. So a moderate wealth tax on millions.
However, if someone starts accumulating hundreds of millions, this tax should get progressively higher, until it becomes impossible to accumulate billions.
There are 2 main reasons I say this. Neither of them involves either envy, or ideology. 2/ **
The first reason, is that billionaires are anti-democratic. They subvert democracies with their wealth, to put in place politicians who work for the them, against the public interest. This is objective, a large proportion of billionaires actively engage in propaganda and disinformation, to gaslight the public. 3/ **
Secondly, and this is strongly connected with the first reason, billionaires are contrary to the sustainability of our civilization. They are actively driving the climate and ecological crisis, and have by far the biggest personal emissions, and consumption.

Even though most in the top 1% are not billionaires. The wealth and consumption of the top 5-10% cause greed, with ambitious people trying to catch up with the wealth of those at the very top. Destroying our natural life support systems to fulfil the greed of a very small proportion at the top, is deeply irrational. It is quite literally insane. 5/ **
It is very noticeable that when I explained the sustainability angle to those attacking me, that they refused to acknowledge my points, because they have no rational answer to it. I have been arguing this point for over 50 years, and those criticising what I say, can only put up very weak, or dishonest arguments, that crumble under scrutiny.
Not only can I defeat anyone who tries arguing against my points, but I have demonstrated it time and time again. 6/ **
It is very worrying how many people defend the existence of billionaires, because they use weak and false arguments, put out by billionaires in the propaganda and disinformation they fund. Unless you are a billionaire, there is no rational or cogent reason to justify the existence of billionaires. 7/ **
It is no coincidence whatsoever, that so many billionaires, use their wealth to buy and own media, both mainstream and social, and to subvert politics. This is because, ironically, billionaires themselves know they should not exist. They know they have to brainwash and gaslight the public, because rationally there is no reason clear headed people would all their level of wealth to exist. Such levels of wealth, totally subvert our system, giving rise to malignant and pathological behaviour. 8/ **
Just how can you have a fair and rational democratic system, looking after the long term public interest of the people, in a system where you have some greedy obsessives, with a wealth accumulation disorder, actively trying to manipulate the public, with brainwashing, gaslighting and outright mind control, to allow them to continue with their unhealthy addiction, which is far more malignant than any drug addiction, and far more damaging to society. 9/ **
To label this communist, is an absurdity. To argue wealth accumulation, should be curtailed, before it gets into the billions, is hardly communist or socialist doctrine.
The way I see it, is if you curtail the mind control, ownership of the media and gaslighting of billionaires, people would think much more rationally about this. 10/ **
For the vast majority of human existence, people lived in egalitarian societies, where resources were shared fairly equally. I can easily support this statement, and I have already done this hundreds of times. But the brainwashed and those unable to think for themselves refuse to acknowledge it. You can take a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink. 11/ **
The reason all human societies used to be egalitarian, is not because of any ideology or enforcement by a powerful government. It’s all down to reciprocity. Without power, and artificially contrived laws, to coerce people into accepting this. People are reluctant to take more than their fair share. because it would make them very unpopular. 12/ **
When powerful people with gangster type behaviour took over our societies in the last 6,000 years (there is very little to no archaeological evidence, to support high status individuals, existing, beyond then). The first thing they did, was to create a wall of legally enforced secrecy, to stop ordinary people seeing how they made their wealth, and the lifestyles they lived. 13/ **
In the smaller, more open societies people lived in back then, there were natural feedback mechanisms, that stopped people taking more than their fair share. Because if they did, people would see it, and it would make them very unpopular, and they would likely be excluded from these societies. As this behaviour was not conducive to a cohesive and cooperative society, necessary for survival. 14/ **
Even now oligarchs and billionaires, rely on the public being ignorant to their true nature, and their ability to hide behind a wall of secrecy, and to give false narratives of what sort of people, they really are. Most of all they rely on people cooperating, but not cooperating enough, to curtail the greedy and selfish behaviour of those at the top. 15/ **
