One of the most amusing things from TES games is the idea you can chug 100 bottles of alcohol and punch a god to death. So I have decided to add some booze to my Troika! dungeon crawl campaign!
General Inebriation
All the myriad stouts, ales, wines, spirits, and all sorts of intoxicating substances that have no special effect give general boosts to Luck. Chugging a bottle gives a character a +1 on their next test. Every subsequent bottle adds another +1 but forces the drinker to test their Luck to keep the alcohol down. This Luck Test does not get the added bonus from drinking. On a failed luck test the drinker loses their vigor and faints, pukes, falls over, stumbles into a heap, or whatever a drunkard would do.
Jotunn Ale
A bottle of this red beer gives 1d6 temporary Stamina. Despite fortifying the body the ale does addle the mind and all mental skills take a -1. Multiple bottles stack these bonuses.
Boris’s Dungeon Grog
Brewed for ogres. A stone cask of a foul, clear liquid. Consuming the grog gives a +1 to damage rolls. Though all interactions with NPCs or monsters will be negative due to the constant burping the grog causes. Effects stack.
Spinach Wine
Emerald and piquant, the drink of choice for the Jotunnsburg nobles. Expensive but everyone will treat you better. This does come with the issue that they will also expect things, either money or favors!
Antique Rum
Hot. Hairs stand on end and you feel ready for anything. Recover 1d6 Luck.
Holy Wine
Normal wine blessed by a tired cleric. The taste is average but does reduce damage rolls from demons and evil creatures by -1.
