The key debate that everyone is having now is whether the agentic code introduces a tech debt that incomprehnsible. I think it is the risk worth taking. People argue if the code generated by AI is maintainable or reviewable. I think that is a wrong question to ask. The right question to ask is whether the AI generated code solves the problem at hand faster and better than human written code. If the answer is yes, then the debt is worth taking.
Conclusion
As I prompt away from node, npm, react-scripts to bun and vite as to refactor the code accordingly, I think technical debt is inevitable. The question is whether you take it intentionally and manage it well.
