Managing types across Dropshot API versions (Oxide RFD 619) (opens in new tab)

In [RFD 421] and [RFD 532], we introduced versioning for our Dropshot HTTP APIs in service of automated update for the Oxide system software [RFD 418]. This RFD provides prescriptive guidance for how to organize published types in a way that minimizes burdens and remains consistent over time.
