Venezuela’s National Assembly president Jorge Rodríguez said the death toll from the June 24 twin earthquakes rose to 1,430, with 3,238 people injured, after magnitude 7.2 and 7.5 quakes struck northern Venezuela within about a minute of each other and heavily damaged La Guaira and parts of Caracas.
