In Hytale, Sturdy Chitin is vital for upgrading your armor. If you want to take on the game’s toughest threats, then you’ll need to farm this resource, and that means whacking some very cute animals to death. This is where to find them.

How to get Sturdy Chitin in Hytale

To get Sturdy Chitin in Hytale, you will need to make your way to the Howling Sands region by heading south from your starting zone. The lush greens of the Emerald Wilds will give way to brown tundras and sandy deserts, and that is when you will have arrived.

Now, I have found that the best place to search is the slightly darker, sandy areas shown on the map above, rather than the bright, sandy ones. I have noticed a greater instance of the animals that we are looking to farm in these areas.

Once there, you will need to take out animals like the Armadillo, Scorpion, and Turtle. You also get Sturdy Chitin from Wasps, but these poisonous fellows can be very dangerous and are often best avoided. It is definitely easiest to just farm the Armadillos and Turtles, but that will naturally take longer if you limit your options.
