There’s a new proposal floating around called install.md. The pitch: instead of writing installation docs for humans, write them for AI agents. Create a structured markdown file, pipe it to Claude, and let the AI install your software autonomously.

When I first saw this, my reaction wasn’t "wow, the future!" It was: "This wouldn’t exist if AI hadn’t made shipping half-baked ideas trivially easy."

Let me explain.


The Philosophical Problem

We’re in an era where the cost of creating things has collapsed. AI can scaffold a project in seconds. You can go from idea to deployed prototype in an afternoon. This is genuinely revolutionary.
