PC gamers with a STOVE account can currently claim the SNK 40th Anniversary Collection for free if they get it before December 31. The collection includes over 20 classic arcade games, including the Zelda-like title Crystalis. December has been a lucrative month for PC gamers, as major storefronts, including Steam and the Epic Games Store, have been generously giving away free games. This latest promotion, however, comes from a South Korean game store that some PC users may not be familiar with. Still, it offers a deal that many video game enthusiasts will find hard to pass up.
SNK is one of the oldest names in the arcade game industry. Previously known as Shin Nihon Kikaku, the company is best known for arcade fighting game franchises like Fatal Fury, Art of Fighting, and The King of Fighters. However, the Japanese company’s track record extends far beyond these few IPs, which is evident in its 40th Anniversary Collection. Initially released in 2018, the compilation includes tens of retro games from the developer, none of which are installments from the aforementioned franchises.
