Why DIP is Special

The SOLID principles are all valuable. Single Responsibility helps us organize code. Open/Closed guides extensibility. Liskov Substitution ensures type safety. Interface Segregation prevents bloated contracts.

But the Dependency Inversion Principle (DIP) is different. It’s the only principle that fundamentally changes how systems are structured. While the others help you write better code, DIP helps you architect better systems. It gives you control over the most critical aspect of software architecture: dependency flow.
