The popular hardware monitoring software just received a big update, which will offer support for several upcoming AMD and Intel processors.

HWMonitor Version 1.61 Released: Ryzen 9850X3D, Ryzen 7500X3D, Zen 6 Mobile, and Arrow Lake Refresh Added to Database

The latest version of CPUID’s HWMonitor has been released, which will now support many upcoming CPUs, including those that will be released later next year. HWMonitor is one of the most popular hardware monitoring tools that usually adds support for many upcoming hardware, such as CPUs, GPUs, and motherboard chipsets, for accurate data.

While the software already added upcoming Intel Panther Lake CPUs to its database two months ago, it’s now adding Intel’s Arrow Lake Refresh CPUs as well. According to the release notes, all three upcoming Refresh CPUs will now be fully supported, which include Core Ultra 9 290K Plus, Core Ultra 7 270K Plus, and Core Ultra 5 250K Plus.

From AMD’s side, there will be three generations of SKUs that will be fully supported, and one of them was released recently. It’s the Ryzen 5 7500X3D Zen 4-based budget X3D chip, which offers 6-core/12-thread configuration and 96 MB L3 cache, and is the cheapest X3D chip in the Zen 4 family. Moreover, the upcoming Zen 5-based Ryzen 7 9850X3D was also added, which offers 400 MHz higher boost clock vs the 9800X3D, set to release at CES 2026.

Ryzen 9 9950X3D isn’t yet mentioned, but should be supported in one of the upcoming versions. Now, the software also added "preliminary" support for the AMD Medusa Point, which is the mobile CPU family based on the Zen 6 architecture. The CPU series is expected to be released later in 2026 and was also added to GCC 16 for early optimizations.
