Ottawa adds $5.4 billion for national child care (opens in new tab)
The federal government will give provinces and territories an additional $5.4 billion over two years for the national $10-a-day child-care program. Jobs and Families Minister Patty Hajdu said the money would help with cost pressures and program stability.
