Thank you to everyone who has downloaded or purchased Mythic-Rarity Raid Drops over the past few months! By now, MRRD has had over 80 downloads and 10 purchases! Yes, that’s right, we’re talking double-digits now! It’s been an incredible feeling to put so much of myself out into the world and have others find enjoyment in it, and I want you all to know how much it has meant to me. I deeply appreciate that this story has found a home in so many different hearts.
On a related note, someone was kind enough to nominate my novel for the 2025 Indie Ink Awards, which is pretty damn neat if you ask me! If you are among the folks who enjoyed reading my novel and if you have a moment to help it try to reach a wider audience, please go vote for it over at [Indie Story Geek](https://indiest…

Mythic-Rarity Raid Drops was nominated in the following categories:
- Best book cover and cover artist (done by the unparalleled ChaseFOX)
- Best use of tropes
- Writing the Future We Need: LGBTQ+ Representation
- Writing the Future We Need: Mental Health Representation
- Writing the Future We Need: Neurodivergent Representation by a Neurodivergent author
I’m particularly excited about the latter two categories. If you’ve finished my novel by now, you’ll know I left a lot of my own personal struggles with autism, suicidal ideation, executive dysfunction, and a whole other slurry of mental shenanigans in my writing. That’s part of why it took me so long to finish in the first place, and it’s a little edifying to know that other people have seen and noticed that.
It’s also kind of funny to be nominated in the "best use of tropes" category when the whole novel is about analyzing and deconstructing why we find portal fantasy / isekai stories to be so compelling in the first place. But I suppose that counts as well!
On a completely unrelated note, if you’re interested in reading more of my writing, I have recently started a music blog called Extremely Loud & Incredibly Slow. It’s all about drone music (and some related genres) and what I find compelling and moving in these strange sounds. If that sounds like your cuppa, please check it out!
That’s all I have for updates. Thank you all again for reading, and I’ll see you next time I have some writing to share.
