Each time people I know run popular podcasts or video channels moan about #YouTube arbitrary policies (e.g. demonetisation when you say “war” or “suicide” or arbitrary channel suspension) I always tell them: try PeerTube.The usual response, which I interpret as mostly driven by learned helplessness (with large help from YT & friends), is “but there’s no money on PeerTube” But isn’t there, really?I’m no media expert, but the YT monetisation model funded through platform ads doesn’t really seem work for most
