A Q from Quora asks:
"What is the best niche in health care to write an article on a blogging channel?"
There isn’t necessarily one "best" niche, but there is definitely an ideal one for you.
If you want to talk about health care, you have to bring some authority to the table.
Readers (and search engines) need to know why they should listen to you.
Usually, that authority comes from one of three places:
- The patient: you’ve personally benefitted from the system or navigated a specific condition.
- The advocate: you’ve fought against unfair practices or won a case against red tape.
- The professional: you’re a doctor, nurse, or health practitioner.

Any of these three are great because they frame your perspective.
The more direct experience you have, the more authority you have behind your work.
But even if you don’t fit those categories, you can still start an opinion blog.
You can be a health care commentator or analyst.
The challenge here is that your authority is based purely on your takes, and it can take a long time to get discovered unless you are very active on social media.
That’s true of all opinion blogs, but it’s especially tricky in health care.
Google is incredibly strict with health topics because of their YMYL (Your Money or Your Life) standards.
Basically, if your content can impact someone’s health or finances, google demands high levels of E-E-A-T (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness).
If you don’t meet those bars, it might take a bit more time to reach people.
But if you feel inclined to write, you should still go for it.
There’s a massive benefit to blogging in general.
It helps you clarify your thoughts and build a platform, regardless of the niche.
