One of the things that most often keep my mind pondering, is the fact that the universe is continuously expanding. The idea that even with the fastest way to travel, traveling at the speed of light, will take you millions of light years to reach the edge of the universe. One of the things that most often keep my mind pondering, is the fact that the universe is continuously expanding. The idea that even with the fastest way to travel, traveling at the speed of light, will take you millions of light years to reach the edge of the universe. That is to say, if you ever reach it, since the universe is expanding at a speed faster than the speed of light. (Which is mind boggling really).
This got my mind thinking. For the universe to keep expanding, does it not mean that there is an amount of space outside of the universe that the universe expands into? An example for me to help you imagine it better is so, imagine a balloon being filled with air and it becomes larger, see that as the universe expanding. Since there is, let’s say a room around the balloon, the balloon takes up space of the room right. So there is space outside of the expanding of the balloon, where the balloon expanse into.
For the universe to keep expanding, does it not mean that there is space outside of the universe? I really dont know if this so called hypothetical idea I came up with is logical. I am not a space expert in any way whatsoever, so this idea could be really stupid.
I would love to know ur take on this, please feel free to email me at "takethechange@hotmail.com" .
