no one reads poetry except sorority girls & hot librarians on TikTok & maybe also those emo goth kids with kitty-kat ears but all of them may be AI so take that with a grain of salt & also maybe the folks on Instagram making the picture- post poets spouting doodled inspiration internet famous enough to get book deals with Simon & Schuster or Andrew McMeel really do read a lot of hastily printed & glued cash-grab hardbacks that end up at Half Price Books three months later because someone is buying enough of them to get a few on a New York Times Bestseller list & sure I’m bitter I can’t manifest myself to four-figure royalties, but hey, I live a comfortable life pointing out comma errors & missing citations & making college students write by hand because fuck that’s the only way to learn to think despite the technorati & their but I need to type as fast as I can think whines as if that’s a goal worth aiming for if you don’t need assistive technology because, c’mon, you don’t need to put everything you think on the page & maybe if you think slower you’d realize most of your thoughts are a jumble of illogical bullshit masquerading as deep feeling just like this poem but hey who am I to judge since I’m just hypocritically eeking out these verses in a full screen text editor, one long screed after another as if anyone, anyone at all, will listen except some bot trolling the web to feed the never- ending hunger of the holy LLM
