If you’re keen to jump straight in, Stars in the Trash has just landed on Switch, the frosty Ice Age DLC is out now for Preserve, and BROK: Natal Tail – A New Christmas Special brings festive storytelling to consoles. You can also try the updated demo for ShantyTown, or enjoy the holiday cheer with Luma Island’s latest seasonal update.
Cast n Chill Coming to Switch
In Cast n Chill, you explore serene lakes, rivers, and oceans while fishing with your cute dog. You fish, upgrade your gear, and reel in legendary catches, all while listening to a pretty nice soundtrack and enjoying beautiful, pixelized views. And yes, you can pet the dog.
Kalina loved the game on Steam and gave it our highest score. So great news that Cast n Chill is now coming to Switch on December 18.

Stars in the Trash on Switch
Stars in the Trash is a completely hand-drawn adventure platformer that feels a bit like a Disney movie. You play as a cat that finds themselves out on the street battling against a Dog Pound employee.
Mina loved the game, so the good news is that it’s also available on Nintendo Switch from December 10th!

Lake: Season’s Greetings DLC on Switch
Lake: Season’s Greetings unfolds during the winter of 1985, set a year before the events of the original game. This time, players step into the shoes of Thomas Weiss — a kind-hearted mail carrier and father to Meredith, Lake’s protagonist. When Kalina reviewed the game on Steam, she gave it our highest rating!
By shifting the perspective from daughter to father, the story offers a deeper look at the Weiss family and a fresh view of snow‑blanketed Providence Oaks through the eyes of a long‑time resident.
Alongside familiar neighbours, the DLC introduces five brand‑new characters, each with their own heartfelt storylines that weave into the town’s tapestry. It also sheds light on lingering mysteries hinted at in the main game, enriching the world with more detail and warmth.
True to Lake’s spirit, Season’s Greetings embraces slice‑of‑life storytelling and gentle, relaxing gameplay — now wrapped in a festive holiday setting.
Great news that Lake: Season’s Greetings will also be available on the Switch: will be available on Nintendo Switch for $9.99 USD on December 11 for Japan and on December 22 for NoA and NoE territories.

I am Future Coming to Consoles
It must be the season to bring games from Steam to consoles!
Indie publisher tinyBuild and developer Mandragora have confirmed that their survival sim I Am Future will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch on January 8, 2026. Priced at $19.99, the console release brings the game’s unique blend of cozy vibes and post-apocalyptic survival to a whole new audience.
I Am Future invites players to build a rooftop camp in a flooded dystopia. Between fishing, farming, crafting, cooking, and caring for a lovable group of robots, the end of the world has never felt so relaxing.
Paula gave the game a good rating when she reviewed it on Steam, saying, “I Am Future delivers exactly what it promises: a relaxing, creative take on the survival genre, once you pass that daily starvation, struggle at the beginning of the game.”
Console players will receive the full suite of content added during the game’s PC journey — from its Early Access debut in 2023 to the 1.0 launch in late 2024. Expect a robust Story Mode, expanded base-building, dynamic weather, and relationship-building with fellow survivors.

Seina: A Tale of Spirits for Consoles and PC in 2026
Step into a Japanese-inspired, watercolor world where every path feels like a page from a storybook. Seina: A Tale of Spirits invites players to wander forest trails, visit ancient shrines, and discover spirit-touched places at their own pace, embracing a calm and atmospheric journey. Drawing from traditional Japanese values — connection to nature, appreciation of small details, and quiet moments of life — the game offers a heartfelt exploration of companionship and peace.
Launching in 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2, Seina is the creation of solo developer Argyro Brotsi, whose travels through Japan inspired its tranquil villages, spirit lore, and gentle rhythms.
The newly released teaser trailer follows Mika, a young girl searching for her missing cat. Along the way, players glimpse glowing spirits, serene landscapes, and the soft watercolour style that defines the game’s mood.
Gameplay focuses on relaxed exploration and intimate discoveries. Players uncover secrets, interact with friendly spirits, and observe environmental details that gradually reveal the world’s story. Narrative unfolds through gestures, expressions, and simple interactions rather than dialogue or fast-paced progression, encouraging a meditative pace.
As Mika journeys deeper into the spirit realm, she encounters shrines, forgotten paths, and ancient dwellings — each holding echoes of memory and meaning. The experience highlights themes of connection, respect, and the quiet magic woven into everyday moments.

My Tiny Garden Blooms on Steam in Q1 2026
A peaceful new idle game is set to brighten desktops everywhere. My Tiny Garden, a cozy simulator from indie developers, will launch on Steam in Q1 2026, inviting players to nurture their own miniature garden right at the bottom of their screen.
Players care for plants through simple, soothing actions like watering, trimming, and composting, while customising their space with new pots, stands, and decorations. Attentive care earns coins, which can be used to unlock more content and expand the garden. The unique twist? Your desktop remains visible behind the game, so your tranquil garden grows alongside your daily work, study, or relaxation.
Designed as a gentle routine, My Tiny Garden offers a calm atmosphere and a special interactive feature for streamers: when you go live on Twitch, your followers can appear as adorable butterflies, fluttering into your garden to bring it to life.
A demo is now available on Steam.

Ice Age DLC for Preserve
You can now dive into the Ice Age DLC for Preserve, which has just launched on Steam and the Epic Games Store. In the base game of Preserve, you are given an area of hexagonal tiles to which you add improvements (trees, rocks, grass, etc.) to create a habitat.
Ice Age adds a frosty, volatile expansion where you’ll need to adapt ecosystems to shifting frozen landscapes. You’ll find yourself managing terrain, water flow, and habitats in ways that demand sharper strategy than ever before.
Available now, this expansion invites you to step boldly into a frozen age of strategic survival.

BROK: Natal Tail – A New Christmas Special on Consoles
You can now play BROK: Natal Tail – A New Christmas Special, the holiday-themed prequel to BROK the InvestiGator. It’s out on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4/5, Xbox, and Steam.
This standalone interactive visual novel is a heartfelt festive story, perfect whether you’re new to the BROK universe or already a fan. You’ll find new scenes, choices, and fully illustrated story moments that expand on the characters’ early days.
It’s an expanded version of last year’s free PC release, which players loved (98% rating on Steam), now with fresh choices, scenes, and achievements made especially for consoles. And it’s not only available on consoles, but this expanded version is available on Steam as well.

New Demo for ShantyTown
ShantyTown has just unveiled a new trailer and updated demo, as it builds towards its full release on Steam on 16 April 2026.
It looks like a calm, atmospheric diorama-builder where you layer shops, rooftop gardens, and playful details until a neighbourhood comes to life. You’ll be building by instinct rather than strict rules, creating towns that feel personal and full of character.
Expect a relaxing atmosphere with day–night shifts and a custom soundtrack from Macroblank, plus whimsical touches like walking houses and drifting birds. Once your diorama is complete, you can photograph it and add it to your in-game dossier to revisit or share.

The Holidays Update of Luma Island
The holidays have landed on Luma Island! Version 1.1.5 is live now, bringing festive decorations, a new Luma friend, and handy quality-of-life tweaks.
You can deck out your farm with Christmas trees, sleighs, presents, and even a snowman, available in Balthazar’s Drawing Shop until 12 January 2026. Click your tree to transform your farm into a winter wonderland.
Zara’s Pet Shop also has a mysterious new Luma egg on sale until 12 January — with a red nose hinting at who you might hatch. Plus, you can unlock a Santa hat and an Elf hat in the Character Creator if you play before the same date.
On the practical side, you can now toggle grass and plant growth in the options menu, while Lumas placed in nests will gather resources for you. A batch of bug fixes rounds out the update.
