In Philippians 4:6-7, Paul instructs:
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
These two sentences give a clear path from anxiety to peace: pray, thank, trust.
What I Loved
The Christ-hymn in chapter 2 stops me cold. Jesus “made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant… and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross” (Philippians 2:7-8). This downward journey of the Son of God, followed by His exaltation, shows the pattern for all Christian life and the fuel for true joy.
