My last two posts, Try more, think less and The invisible audience, kind of sound like opposites.
One says, “If you have an idea, don’t waste your time trying to perfect it,” and the other, “Since it’s meant for an audience, I’m paying extra attention to details”.
This is where the third, and most difficult, part comes in. And I’m far from an expert at it. Balance.
I think this is something most creatives struggle with. Should I ship now and take it from there? Or should I tweak it a bit more to get closer to what I have in mind?
There’s no single right answer. No standard. We can’t even compare it to our own past work, since every creation is a new beginning.
All we can really do is trust our gut.
For my latest project, that feeling tells me to go for a quiet release. Get the basics out there first, then add the extra things over time, like handy add-ons and color palettes.
That project is version 3.0 of the Bearming theme for Bear blog.
Happy blogging!
