Laem Chabang, Thailand – The Port Authority of Thailand (PAT) has pledged more than 3 million baht to fund English language programs for youth in communities surrounding Laem Chabang Port, continuing a long-standing initiative to enhance educational opportunities in the region.

On December 15th, 2025, Acting Lt. Ratchakorn Kiewpaisal, Deputy Director of the Port Authority of Thailand, presided over a ceremony to hand over the funds for the second semester of the 2025 academic year (November 2025 – March 2026).
The event, held at the Tra Thong 1 Room in the Laem Chabang Port Welfare Center, was attended by PAT Director Kriengkrai Chaiyasirowong, Deputy Port Director Sirima Kiratiyakorn, representatives from Bang Lamung and Sri Racha districts, port executives and staff, terminal operators, community leaders, and student beneficiaries.

In his remarks, Acting Lt. Ratchakorn expressed delight in supporting the ongoing project, which PAT has backed continuously since the 2013 fiscal year, with a cumulative investment of 74,305,000 baht.
For the 2026 fiscal year, Laem Chabang Port allocated 3,150,000 baht to seven schools in Laem Chabang City Municipality, Banglamung Subdistrict Municipality, and Takhian Tia Subdistrict Municipality.

He stated that preparing youth for a globalized world requires building skills in critical thinking, analysis, and creativity, with English proficiency serving as a vital tool for international communication. The program focuses on foundational listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills to maximize students’ potential.
The project’s objectives include improving English abilities through direct practice with instructors, equipping youth with essential language tools for higher education, effective communication, and future contributions to national development.

Laem Chabang Port, one of Thailand’s key maritime hubs, continues to demonstrate its commitment to corporate social responsibility by investing in local education and community empowerment.
