Sea of Remnants is being developed by Joker Studio, which previously worked on an asymmetrical horror game also featuring a distinct gothic art style with doll characters. That game, also free, featured crossovers with a variety of popular franchises like Dangenrompa, Persona, and even KFC.
Sea of Remnants was first revealed to the world at a Sony State of Play last June. For those who like the look of this interesting new venture into open waters, a testing period is kicking off this month that you can sign up for on the game’s official Steam store page.
Sea of Remnants is of course just one Netease game set to come out in the near future. While Sea of Remnants appears to be tackling the free-to-play market, the Chinese gaming giant is also tackling the AAA single player space with the upcoming Blood Message. Though, in that game’s case, no release date has been revealed.
