I’ve turned my Notes document where I list interesting books into a book queue I maintain here.

I’ve turned my Notes document where I list interesting books into a book queue I maintain here.
Why do this?:
- I wasn’t trusting the list enough; sometimes I’d want to read something and not think to check the list. Capturing too much stuff you don’t use is a common anti-pattern, to be addressed when you notice it.
- Posting the list helped me move a few books to the "read summaries but not the book itself" list.
- If at any point the list grows longer than the expected number of books I’ll be able to read in the rest of my life, I’ll know I need to either (i) find more reading time, (ii) reconceptulize the list, or (iii) take some books off the list.
- Many people enjoy browsing lists of books. Some of them might benefit from seeing this one. They might also be inclined to give me useful recommendations or anti-recommendations.
- It is fun.
The books are very roughly in priority order.
