The—very starry—Holiday Party in Los Angeles
Hosted at a private residence adjacent to the Chateau Marmont, LA’s consummate celebrity party-throwers Michael Braun, Vas Morgan, and Cade Hudson pooled their little black books to populate ‘The Holiday Party.’ The get-together also served to roll out the red carpet for Butter Baby—the viral Indonesia-based donut purveyor by Tory Burch’s sons Nick and Henry Burch—which will be popping up on Melrose this weekend. Naturally, the desserts were displayed as far as the eye could see. Kim Kardashian caught up with her old friend—and one-time boss—Paris Hilton while the Fanning sisters had a pow-wow with Kristen Stewart near a butter yellow-hued Christmas tree. By the pool a photo studio modeled after famous works by Slim Aaron’s had been set up, with Kaia Gerber acing it on the first shot. All those in attendance made a donation to support the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital’s Center for Youth Mental Health too.
A jolly Burberry bash
Candles, cakes, checkered scarves aplenty, and a cute choir: Burberry staged a snug soirée at the Manhattan townhouse of event producer Chris Hessney. Martha Stewart stopped by to taste test the British-themed spread of Yorkshire puddings, crustless sambos, mince pieces, and sticky toffee pud (A+ all around.) Over hot toddies and Champers, attendees including June Ambrose, Sarah Hoover, Jordan Daniels, and Jason Rembert enjoyed carols sung by the children of the Harlem School of the Arts while peaking inside Burberry stockings hung from the staircase.
An Uptown night with Valentino
Forget handbags at dawn, it was handbags at 9 p.m. thanks to Valentino as the maison toasted to its newest accessory over Christmassy cocktails. The Valentino Garavani DeVain bag, dreamt up by Alessandro Michele, was the star of the show as guests gathered at Chez Fifi on East 74th Street—the French bistro being one of the hardest reservations in the city to snag right now. Among those flaunting the flirty little shoulder bag as they slipped in the door past awaiting paparazzi were screen stars Hari Nef and Tommy Dorfman, chanteusses Dove Cameron, Charlotte Lawrence, and Justine Skye, and model Meadow Walker. Inside, it was a content creator bonanza as attendees with follower counts in the millions bopped to a DJ set by Blu DeTigre on a day-glo dance floor. Think: Casimere Jolette, Mary Beth Barone, Abi Hoffman, Luca Mornet, Meredith Duxbury, Romilly Newman, Kate Bartlett, and Alioune Badara Fall. Alas, you likely already knew that, seeing as you’ve copped their Instagram Stories and TikTok dispatches by now.
Banana Republic and Antoni Porowski’s elevated pub session
Tucked down the back of the Banana Republic flagship in SoHo, you’ll find a speakeasy lounge aptly christened The Banana. There, an immersive extension of the brand’s Irish-themed holiday campaign unfolded this week. Nodding to traditions innate to the Emerald Isle, the heart-warming gathering hosted by Antoni Porowski centered around food, music, and to borrow the Irish parlance: a bit of craic. Sweet Tooth Jazz were on hand for renditions of crowd-pleasers by Enya and The Cranberries—prompting the whole room to come together for a sing-song of Linger. Guests tucked into hunks of soda bread with lashings of butter and chicken pot pie, washed down by flights of Baileys on ice and second helpings from a trifle cart. Nollaig Shona, indeed.
