The moment was incredibly cringey, especially after Trump put the medal on himself. Since the ceremony went viral, many people online have been cracking jokes about Trump’s excitement over a seemingly made-up award.

Well, Adam Mockler, a Gen Z guest commentator on CNN NewsNight, went viral for being brutally honest about why FIFA’s decision to create an award to please Trump should be taken seriously. You can watch the viral clip here:
"What you just described was Trump trying to turn the United States into a pre-constitutional era where he can act as a monarch that gives and gets gifts from other countries and companies, and FIFA just cashed in on that."
