SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A San Diego realtor is speaking out after one of her listings became the site of a large illegal house party that caused thousands of dollars in damage.
Authorities said nearly 100 people showed up at the Skyline home earlier this month, despite a flyer advertising the party that urged guests to “please respect the house.”
“The house was not respected whatsoever,” said realtor Vanessa Munoz.
The home was left littered with trash, shattered glass and damage in nearly every room.
After receiving reports from neighbors and police, Munoz conducted her own investigation and discovered the party had been advertised on social media. She also found videos showing people partying inside the home.

“I hopped on Instagram and there they are,” Munoz said. “There’s videos of people partying inside the living room of my listing. A packed house.”
The party footage cannot be shared without permission from the original source, but Munoz shared video and photos of the aftermath. A neighbor also provided Ring camera video showing groups of teens walking to and from the home.
“There was fireworks, a huge hole in the wall, somebody got into a physical fight. We heard there was weapons and drugs,” Munoz said. “There was so much going on. We’re just so grateful that it wasn’t worse and nobody actually got hurt.”
Munoz said the damage from the party cost the sellers about $10,000 in repairs.
“We had to get the work done. We couldn’t wait on insurance or any of that because we have a new homeowner who’s going to be closing on the home soon,” Munoz said. “They need to move in.”
San Diego police said the overwhelming number of people at the house made it difficult to shut the party down immediately. Officers remained on patrol in the area, made contact with attendees, and took reports as people left the scene.
Munoz said she is already aware of another party advertised on social media by the same group, scheduled for Friday, Jan. 23.

“I have another listing in Skyline, so when I saw that their flyer says there’s another one in Skyline, I’m like, ‘No,’” Munoz said. “We have to be on high alert and make sure that we are keeping an eye on the property.”
She is urging other realtors and sellers to take similar precautions.
“I’m advising all my clients that have properties that are vacant to set up cameras, do whatever you can, take the security measures to make sure that this does not happen to your property,” Munoz said.
San Diego police said the case remains under investigation. Anyone identified and prosecuted could face charges ranging from trespassing to breaking and entering and vandalism. Authorities are urging the community to remain vigilant not only in Skyline, but in any area with vacant properties.
