I did work yesterday using chat, ended up rejecting the solution of the agent. I turned of my PC. This morning I open cursor and start working, after an hour I noticed my chat panel had the message input pre-filled with the following:

What kind of weird behavior is that? I never say thank you to my agents. It even showed the F- word there.

I have a screenshot I would like to provide.

Steps to Reproduce

I can’t reproduce.

NEVER write creepy messages in the chat

Hey, that’s certainly odd - do you know if the voice input was selected accidentally, and it captured background noise? I don’t know what voice model is under the hood, but sometimes, like text generation models, voice models can hallucinate too, resulting in odd output.

I tried to think what could’ve possibly happened but I did not use voice chat. Even if I activated by accident, I did not say any of those words. I did not say anything actually cause I work in my home office with no one around and I had no meetings or calls.

The same thing happened to me today. The message was 32,000 characters long.

Happened to me today, I saw this:

Didn’t have voice input on and definitely did not type that. It just appeared on its own somehow.

Was coding with the sidebar open, suddenly saw this weird text in the promptbox (see screenshot)

Steps to Reproduce

No clue how it happened. At no point, should the llm write to the promptbox on it’s own. maybe the autocomplete in the promptbox tirggering by itself?

Now, obviously, I didn’t write this; it was just there. So, first, how did it get into the prompt box? And second, it used the text “edit mode callbacks,” which makes a lot of sense in my project context, but doesn’t relate to the file referenced at the start. Also, and this is really fricking me out, it used Gishmak, which is a word I really like and use a lot, but I didn’t write it in my code even once… hell, I didn’t even know how to spell it by now. And last but not least, it used a curse word, I didn’t even know he could use them
