This is the Historic Fourth Ward Park in Atlanta, Georgia. It’s got all the stuff you could want a park to have: landscaped walkways, benches, grassy fields, a playground, and even a splashpad and amphitheater. The focal point is the 5-acre or half-a-hectare pond running through the middle. But this pond isn’t just for looks. In fact, this park would never have been built at all except for the fact that it solves a serious flooding problem.
