Parts for PSU:

12V 150W LED Driver / PSU (MUST BE 14.1cm * 5cm * 2.3cm OR SMALLER)

Part Used: 12V 150W LED Driver Ultra Slim

IEC320 C14 Power Inlet Module with Fuse and Rocker Switch

Part Used: 2‑Pack IEC320 C14 Power Inlet Module with Fuse and Rocker Switch

12V to 5V 5A 25W Step Down Converter

Part Used: DC 24V 12V to 5V 5A 25W Step Down Converter Module

Use a WAGO connector or just solder the 5V output to the 5V pin on the Molex connector

Molex Splitter to salvage Connector + Wire (cheapest option)

Part Used: StarTech.com LP4 to 2X LP4 Power Y Splitter Cable M/F (PYO2L)

Parts for PCB:

I/O Connector, 36 Contacts, Receptacle, Mini SAS HD, Press Fit, PCB Mount

Part Used: EDAC 904-036-225-002

M2 screw needed to attach to PCB, approx 4-6mm long depending on connector mfg.

7 Position SATA Header, Shrouded Connector Solder Through Hole

Part Used: Molex 067800-8025

0.5m Mini-SAS HD cable (SFF-8644 to SFF-8644)

My Specific Host Setup:

0.3m Mini-SAS HD cable (SFF-8643 to SFF-8643)

Part Used: IBM 00FK817

Alternate: H!Fiber.com 12G Internal Mini SAS HD SFF-8643 to SFF-8643 Cable

Used to attach the below adapter to LSI 9305-16i HBA.

Internal SFF-8643 to External SFF-8644 Low-Profile Adapter

Part Used: Supermicro AOM-SAS3-8I8E-LP

This is the cheapest interal-to-external mini-sas hd adapter you can find.

Ensure total cable length from your HBA’s port to the HDD’s port is no longer than 1m TOTAL

In my case the math adds up as shown:

HBA -> Adapter:    0.30m (11.8")
Adapter (approx):  0.05m (   2")
Adapter -> PCB:    0.50m (19.7")
PCB -> Backplane:  0.15m (   6")
Backplane -> HDD:  0.08m (   3")
Total:             1.08m

Just over the 1m SATA cable length limit... Should be fine!
